Faith in God

A VERY INTERESTING CONVERSATION : Worth Reading

An Atheist Professor of Philosophy was speaking to his Class on the problem Science has with GOD, the ALMIGHTY. He asked one of his New Christian Students to stand and . . .

Professor : You are a Christian, aren't you, son ?
Student : Yes, sir.
Professor : So, you Believe in GOD ?
Student : Absolutely, sir.
Professor : Is GOD Good ?
Student : Sure.
Professor : Is GOD ALL - POWERFUL ?
Student : Yes.
Professor : My Brother died of Cancer even though he Prayed to GOD to Heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But GOD didn't.

How is this GOD good then? Hmm?

(Student was silent )

Professor : You can't answer, can you ? Let's start again, Young Fella. Is GOD Good?
Student : Yes.
Professor : Is Satan good ?
Student : No.
Professor : Where does Satan come from ?
Student : From . . . GOD . . .
Professor : That's right. Tell Me son, is there evil in this World?
Student : Yes.
Professor : Evil is everywhere, isn't it ? And GOD did make everything. Correct?
Student : Yes.
Professor : So who created evil ?

(Student did not answer)

Professor : Is there Sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness?
All these terrible things exist in the World, don't they?
Student : Yes, sir.
Professor : So, who Created them ?

(Student had no answer)

Professor : Science says you have 5 Senses you use to Identify and Observe the World around you. Tell me, son . . . Have you ever Seen GOD?
Student : No, sir.
Professor : Tell us if you have ever Heard your GOD?
Student : No , sir.
Professor : Have you ever Felt your GOD, Tasted your GOD, Smelt your GOD? Have you ever had any Sensory Perception of GOD for that matter?
Student : No, sir. I'm afraid I haven't.
Professor : Yet you still Believe in HIM?
Student : Yes.
Professor : According to Empirical, Testable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says your GOD doesn't exist. What do you say to that, son?
Student : Nothing. I only have my Faith.
Professor : Yes,Faith. And that is the problem Science has.
Student : Professor, is there such a thing as Heat?
Professor : Yes.
Student : And is there such a thing as Cold?
Professor : Yes.
Student : No, sir. There isn't.

(The Lecture Theatre became very quiet with this turn of events )

Student : Sir, you can have Lots of Heat, even More Heat, Superheat, Mega Heat, White Heat,
a Little Heat or No Heat. But we don't have anything called Cold.
We can hit 458 Degrees below Zero which is No Heat, but we can't go

any further after that. There is no such thing as Cold.
Cold is only a Word we use to describe the Absence of Heat.
We cannot Measure Cold. Heat is Energy.
Cold is Not the Opposite of Heat, sir, just the Absence of it.

(There was Pin-Drop Silence in the Lecture Theatre )

Student : What about Darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as Darkness?
Professor : Yes. What is Night if there isn't Darkness?
Student : You're wrong again, sir.
Darkness is the Absence of Something
You can have Low Light, Normal Light, Bright Light, Flashing Light . . .
But if you have No Light constantly, you have nothing and its called

Darkness, isn't it?
In reality, Darkness isn't.
If it is, were you would be able to make Darkness Darker, wouldn't you?
Professor : So what is the point you are making, Young Man ?
Student : Sir, my point is your Philosophical Premise is flawed.
Professor : Flawed ? Can you explain how?
Student : Sir, you are working on the Premise of Duality.
You argue there is Life and then there is Death, a Good GOD

and a Bad GOD.
You are viewing the Concept of GOD as something finite, something

we can measure.
Sir, Science can't even explain a Thought.
It uses Electricity and Magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully

understood either one.
To view Death as the Opposite of Life is to be ignorant of the fact that
Death cannot exist as a Substantive Thing.
Death is Not the Opposite of Life: just the Absence of it
Now tell me, Professor, do you teach your Students that they evolved from a Monkey?
Professor : If you are referring to the Natural Evolutionary Process, yes, of course, I do.
Student : Have you ever observed Evolution with your own eyes, sir?

(The Professor shook his head with a Smile, beginning to realize where the Argument was going )

Student : Since no one has ever observed the Process of Evolution at work and
Cannot even prove that this Process is an On-Going Endeavor,
Are you not teaching your Opinion, sir?
Are you not a Scientist but a Preacher?

(The Class was in Uproar )

Student : Is there anyone in the Class who has ever seen the Professor's Brain?

(The Class broke out into Laughter )

Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor's Brain,

Felt it, touched or Smelt it? . . .
No one appears to have done so.
So, according to the Established Rules of Empirical, Stable,

Demonstrable Protocol,
Science says that You have No Brain, sir.
With all due respect, sir, how do we then Trust your Lectures, sir?

(The Room was Silent. The Professor stared at the Student, his face unfathomable)

Professor : I guess you'll have to take them on Faith, son.
Student : That is it sir . . . Exactly !
The Link between Man & GOD is FAITH.
That is all that Keeps Things Alive and Moving.

Chat with GOD==Really nice one

Chat with GOD==Really nice one

Discussion with God - Just place yourself as ME and the conversation can be interesting. Its really good one..
----
God
: Hello... Did you call me?
Me:
Called you? No.. who is this?
God:
This is GOD. I heard your prayers. So I thought I will chat.

Me:
I do pray. Just makes me feel good. I am actually busy now. I am in the midst of something..
God:
What are you busy at? Ants are busy too.

Me:
Don't know. But I cant find free time. Life has become hectic. It's rush hour all the time.
God:
Sure. Activity gets you busy. But productivity gets you results.
Activity consumes time. Productivity frees it.

Me:
I understand. But I still cant figure it out. By the way, I was not expecting YOU to buzz me on instant messaging chat.
God:
Well I wanted to resolve your fight for time, by giving you some clarity. In this net era, I wanted to reach you through the medium you are comfortable with.

Me: Tell me, why has life become complicated now?

God:
Stop analyzing life. Just live it. Analysis is what makes it complicated.

Me:
why are we then constantly unhappy?
God:
Your today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday. You are worrying because you are analyzing.Worrying has become your habit. That's why you are not happy.

Me:
But how can we not worry when there is so much uncertainty?
God:
Uncertainty is inevitable, but worrying is optional.

Me:
But then, there is so much pain due to uncertainty..
God:
Pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional.

Me:
If suffering is optional, why do good people always suffer?
God:
Diamond cannot be polished without friction. Gold cannot be purified without fire. Good people go through trials, but don't suffer. With that experience their life becomes better not bitter.

Me:
You mean to say such experience is useful?
God:
Yes. In every terms, Experience is a hard teacher. She gives the test first and the lessons afterwards.

Me:
But still, why should we go through such tests? Why can't we be free from problems?
God:
Problems are Purposeful Roadblocks Offering Beneficial Lessons (to) Enhance Mental Strength. Inner strength comes from struggle and endurance, not when you are free from problems.

Me:
Frankly in the midst of so many problems, we don't know where we are heading..
God:
If you look outside you will not know where you are heading. Look inside. Looking outside, you dream. Looking inside, you awaken. Eyes provide sight. Heart provides insight.

Me:
Sometimes not succeeding fast seems to hurt more than moving in the right direction. What should I do?
God:
Success is a measure as decided by others. Satisfaction is a measure as decided by you.Knowing the road ahead is more satisfying than knowing you rode ahead. You work with the compass. Let others work with the clock.

Me:
In tough times, how do you stay motivated?
God:
Always look at how far you have come rather than how far you have to go. Always count your blessing, not what you are missing.

Me:
What surprises you about people?
God:
when they suffer they ask, "why me?" When they prosper, they never ask "Why me". Everyone wishes to have truth on their side, but few want
to be on the side of the truth.

Me:
Sometimes I ask, who am I, why am I here. I can't get the answer.
God:
Seek not to find who you are, but to determine who you want to be. Stop looking for a purpose as to why you are here. Create it. Life is not a process of discovery but a process of creation.

Me:
How can I get the best out of life?
God:
Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear.

Me:
One last question. Sometimes I feel my prayers are not answered.
God:
There are no unanswered prayers. At times the answer is NO.

Me:
Thank you for this wonderful chat. I am so happy to start the New Day with a new sense of inspiration.
God:
Well. Keep the faith and drop the fear. Don't believe your doubts and doubt your beliefs. Life is a mystery to solve, not a problem to resolve.

Innocent love

I have had this before a couple of times - but still brings tears to my eyes - also I think the impact can very depending on what is happening in your life when you receive this

I'D LIKE THIS BACK IF IT APPLIES

A little girl went
To her bedroom and pulled a glass jelly jar from its hiding place in the closet.

She poured the change out on the floor and counted it carefully. Three
Times, even The total had to be exactly perfect. No chance here for mistakes.

Carefully placing the coins back in the jar and twisting on the cap, she
Slipped out the back door and made her way 6 blocks to Rexall's Drug Store with
The big red Indian Chief sign above the door.

She waited patiently for
The pharmacist to give her some attention, but he was too busy at this moment.
Tess twisted her feet to make a scuffing noise. Nothing. She cleared her throat
With the most disgusting sound she could muster. No good Finally she took a
Quarter from her jar and banged it on the glass counter. That did it!

'And what do you want?' the pharmacist asked in an annoyed tone of
Voice. I'm talking to my brother from Chicago whom I haven't seen in ages,' he
Said without waiting for a reply to his question.

'Well, I want to talk
To you about my brother,' Tess answered back in the same annoyed tone. 'He's
Really, really sick...and I want to buy a miracle.'

'I beg your pardon?'
Said the pharmacist.

'His name is Andrew and he has something bad
Growing inside his head and my Daddy says only a miracle can save him now So how
Much does a miracle cost?'

'We don't sell miracles here, little girl.
I'm sorry but I can't help you,' the pharmacist said, softening a little.

'Listen, I have the money to pay for it. If it isn't enough, I will get
The rest. Just tell me ho w much it costs.'

The pharmacist's brother was
A well dressed man He stooped down and asked the little girl, 'What kind of a
Miracle does your brother need?'

' I don't know,' Tess replied with her
Eyes welling up. I just know he's really sick and Mommy says he needs an
Operation. But my Daddy can't pay for it, so I want to use my money.'

'How much do you have?' asked the man from Chicago

'One dollar
And eleven cents,' Tess answered barely audibly.

'And it's all the money
I have, but I can get some more if I need to.'

'Well, what a
Coincidence,' smiled the man. 'A dollar and eleven cents---the exact price of a
Miracle for little brothers. '

He took her money in one hand and with
The other hand he grasped her mitten and said 'Take me to where you live. I want
To see your brother and meet your parents. Let's see if I have the miracle you
Need.'

That well dressed man was Dr. Carlton Armstrong, a surgeon,
Specializing in neuro-surgery. The operation was completed free of charge and it
Wasn't long until Andrew was home again and doing well.

Mom and Dad were
Happily talking about the chain of events that had led them to this place.

'That surgery,' her Mom whispered. 'was a real miracle. I wonder how
Much it would have cost?'

Tess smiled. She knew exactly how much a
Miracle cost..one dollar and eleven cents....plus the faith of a little child.

In our lives, we never know how many miracles we will need.

A
Miracle is not the suspension of natural law, but the operation of a higher law.
I know you'll keep the ball moving!

Here it goes. Throw it back to
Someone who means something to you!

A ball is a circle, no beginning, no
End. It keeps us together like our Circle of Friends. But the treasure inside
For you to see is the treasure of friendship you've granted to me.

Today
I pass the friendship ball to you.

Pass it on to someone who is a friend
To you.

MY OATH TO YOU...

When you are sad.....I will dry your
Tears.

When you are scared.....I will comfort your fears.

When
you are worried.....I will give you hope.

When you are confused......I
will help you cope.

And when you are lost...And can't see the light, I
shall be your beacon....Shining ever so bright.

This is my oath.....I
pledge till the end.

Why you may ask?....Because you're my friend.

Signed: GOD
